The Rashi School Selects Enrollment Catalyst

Please welcome The Rashi School to the Enrollment Catalyst Program. The Rashi School is a K-8th grade independent school affiliated with the Reform Movement of Judaism. As a Jewish day school located in Dedham, MA (Boston metro area), the school enrolls over 300 students.

Enrollment Catalyst partners with Independent schools of all types and sizes. Rick Newberry first met Adrien Khelemsky, the director of admissions, at a conference several years ago. Rick will be working directly with Adrien.

The Enrollment Catalyst program will begin with a site visit on September 12-13, 2016. The site visit will include focus group meetings with parents, faculty, staff and leadership of the school. In addition, the site visit will give Rick the opportunity to provide a comprehensive assessment of their enrollment and marketing effort. As a result of the visit, a strategic enrollment and marketing plan will be developed.

Following the development of the plan, Rick will provide ongoing, weekly coaching with the enrollment and marketing team. This coaching will help provide accountability, continued direction and help with implementation of the plan.

Dayton Christian School Partners with Enrollment Catalyst

Dr. Rick Newberry recently conducted a two-day site visit at Dayton Christian School to begin his Enrollment Catalyst Program. Dayton Christian School is located in Dayton, Ohio, and enrolls nearly 800 students from preschool to 12th grade. Dayton Christian is an accredited member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

During Rick’s visit, he conducted focus groups with board members, parents, faculty and staff. He also spent time in meetings with the enrollment and marketing team to assess their current processes and strategies. In addition, a parent satisfaction survey was conducted earlier this summer. As a result of this process, Rick will present a comprehensive assessment and recommendations for their enrollment and marketing plan.

Following this presentation Rick will work with the team to provide weekly coaching. These coaching sessions will provide accountability and continued direction in their enrollment and marketing effort.

Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy Partners with Enrollment Catalyst

Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy in Melbourne, FL, has partnered with Dr. Rick Newberry and Enrollment Catalyst. During the next six months, Rick will work with the team at Holy Trinity to coach them in their enrollment and marketing effort through his Enrollment Catalyst Program.

Recently, Rick began the process by spending two days on campus conducting focus groups with faculty and parents. In addition, he met with the leadership and the enrollment and marketing team to assess the current enrollment and marketing processes, strategies and results.

Holy Trinity is the premier independent school for preschool through 12th grade in Brevard County, Florida. The school has two campuses and enrolls over 800 students. Holy Trinity offers an outstanding college preparatory program and is well known for its success in getting students into their college choice. The school is a member of the Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS) and the National Association of Episcopal Schools (NAES).

Holy Spirit Episcopal School Partners with Enrollment Catalyst

When arriving on the campus of Holy Spirit Episcopal School, you are greeted with a statue that reads: “We Love HSES.” This is a great visual reminder for the faculty, staff, parents and students to love their school.

Holy Spirit Episcopal School, located in Houston, TX, has partnered with Enrollment Catalyst and Dr. Rick Newberry. On June 1, Rick spent the day in meetings with the leadership team assessing the enrollment and marketing effort. As part of the Enrollment Catalyst Program, a parent survey and focus group meetings will be conducted. In addition, Rick will provide personalized coaching for several months to provide accountability and continued direction.

The school enrolls over 300 students from infants to 8th grade and offers an outstanding academic and high school preparatory program.

Houston Academy Selects Enrollment Catalyst

Houston Academy, located in Dothan, AL, has partnered with Dr. Rick Newberry in his Enrollment Catalyst Program. Rick will work with the leadership team, including Joel Pendleton, director of advancement, and Dr. Scott Phillipps, headmaster, to develop an enrollment and marketing plan. In addition, through the program, Rick will provide ongoing coaching to provide accountability and continued direction.

Founded in 1970, Houston Academy (HA) is southeast Alabama’s premier college preparatory school. HA is the only independent school in the region that focuses on college preparation and global education. The school enrolls just over 600 students in preschool through 12th grade.

Southside Christian School Selects Enrollment Catalyst

SouthsideChristianSchoolLast summer, Dr. Sam Barfell moved to South Carolina to become the Superintendent at Southside Christian School. Dr. Barfell previously served as the Vice President for Professional Development at the Association of Christian School’s International (ACSI).

Southside Christian School is located in Simpsonville, SC (just outside of Greenville), and enrolls just over 1,000 students to make it one of the largest ACSI schools in the nation.

During the week of January 25, Dr. Rick Newberry conducted a site visit to hold focus group meetings with parents, faculty, staff and the school’s leadership. The school’s leadership, including Tommy Blackmon, Director of Advancement, and Diana Bolding, Advancement Assistant, will be working with Rick in his Enrollment Catalyst Program. The goal of the program is to help the team implement an enrollment and marketing plan to move the school forward in achieving its goals.

Ironically, Both Rick and Sam graduated from the same university–Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, MI.

Grace Christian School in Alaska Partners with Enrollment Catalyst

Grace Chrsitian School

Grace Christian School, located in Anchorage, Alaska, recently decided to partner with Dr. Rick Newberry and Enrollment Catalyst. Rick conducted a site visit on January 17-19, 2016. During this visit he met with parents, faculty, staff, board members and the administrative leadership to further understand the school’s current situation and enrollment/marketing effort. In addition, he conduced surveys for the parents, employees and students.

Rick met Randy Karlberg, Superintendent, while he was speaking at the ACSI Administrator’s Conference in Seaside, Oregon, in April 2015. As a result of this connection and the connection that Marne Sheldon, director of advancement, had already made by faithfully reading Rick’s blog for several years, the team decided to partner with Rick in his Enrollment Catalyst Program. Ware Academy (VA) Partners with Enrollment Catalyst

Ware AcademyWare Academy has partnered with Enrollment Catalyst. Ware Academy is located in Gloucester Courthouse, VA, and enrolls 120 students from preschool through 8th grade.

During Rick Newberry’s two-day site visit, he conducted focus groups with parents, faculty and the administrative team. He also presented a workshop on word of mouth marketing to the board of trustees. The partnership includes an assessment of their enrollment and marketing effort, parent satisfaction survey, recommended plan and strategies, and ongoing coaching.

The Children’s School (GA) Partners with Rick Newberry

Through their hands-on, experiential approach to elementary education, children develop the ability to think logically and critically and to love the learning process.

Dr. Rick Newberry will visit their campus on May 11-12 to conduct focus groups and meetings with the staff. Rick will be working with Nishant Mehta and his team to develop and implement an enrollment and marketing plan. In addition, Rick will provide coaching to the team.

Alverno High School Selects Enrollment Catalyst Program

Alverno High School is a Catholic, independent, college preparatory high school for young women. Dr. Rick Newberry will be working with the leadership team, including Julia Fanara, head of school, and Sara McCarthy, Director of Admissions & Public Relations, to assess their enrollment and marketing strategies and to put a plan together. Following the presentation of the plan, Rick will provide weekly coaching to the team.

Alverno was founded by the Sisters of St. Francis in 1960 and was later sold to Immaculate Heart Community in 1978, which continues to sponsor Alverno to this day. Alverno is more than just a college preparatory, independent school for girls. It is a place where girls live out their mission and are “empowered to become exactly the person they want to be.”
