After 7 Years, a New Website Was Long Overdue

It’s hard to believe that it has already been seven years since I launched Enrollment Catalyst. With my entire background experience in educational marketing and enrollment management, I felt that the time was right to launch out on my own.

One of the initial things I had to address was the name of my company. I chose Enrollment Catalyst for several reasons.

You may remember using a catalyst in your high school chemistry class. According to Merriam-Webster, a catalyst is “a substance that enables a chemical reaction to proceed at a usually faster rate or under different conditions than otherwise possible.” A catalyst is also “an agent that provokes or speeds significant change or action.”

When I thought about this definition, it described my role in the schools that I work with perfectly. I especially like the concept speeding significant change or action. By combining Enrollment and Catalyst, I couldn’t think of a better description of what I do. I serve as an Enrollment Catalyst for schools, helping them reach their goals and training their leaders to become catalysts as well.

With the school successes from the past seven years and the need to develop a new website in a responsive, scrolling format, I have been working with the team at North Star Marketing to enhance my brand and to launch a new website.

My enhanced logo creates a unique icon with an arrow pointing out and an arrow pointing in. The symbolism behind this is significant. The arrow pointing out conveys the need to reach out in your enrollment and marketing effort in order to attract new families and students to your school. The arrow pointing back in suggests that it is equally important to reach within your school’s parent community for continual enrollment, retention and internal marketing. This is the role of an Enrollment Catalyst.

North Star Marketing designed my new website using the WordPress platform. With a scrolling format, the focus is on helping schools in their enrollment and marketing needs through my Enrollment Catalyst Program while also providing resources through my blog and webinars (4 webinars are posted on my website from this past year). On the homepage, you will also find my calendar and news section. I would like to give a special shout out to Andy Lynch, Sarah Koudelka, Kaleen Goodeill and the entire team at North Star Marketing for their outstanding work on my brand and website!

When you have some time, take a look at the resources on my website. One of my new features towards the bottom is the “Stories of Growth” section. These are stories from a few of my clients. I have many more stories that I plan to add in the near future.

My passion is simple: To help you become an Enrollment Catalyst in your school. Through my website, blog, webinars, conferences and other opportunities, I trust that you have and will continue to benefit from my ideas, insights and stories along the way.

My hope is for you to become an Enrollment Catalyst in your school.
